To ensure that the range is sufficient for a sensor, this can be verified with an Adeunis Field Tester. The Adeunis tester is a test device that sends data which is then displayed in the platform. These are, for example, values such as the RSSI, which can be used to determine how well or poorly devices are being received.
RSSI = Received Signal Strength Indication (level and signal strength):
The RSSI value is an indicator of the signal strength being received. The higher the value, the better the signal.
Signal Strength | Meaning |
>-50 dB | very good |
-50 to -70 dB | good |
-70 to -80 dB | sufficient |
-80 to -90 dB | marginal |
<-90 dB | poor, no signal from 100 |
